Dan Liebert is a Senior Associate with Great Schools Partnership, joining the organization with nearly 30 years experience in public education. Dan served most recently for eight years as the founding Principal and Chief Academic Officer of Tech Valley High School in Albany, NY, which is a demonstration site for the national New Tech Network of schools and recognized for excellence in Project-Based Learning. Dan’s teaching experience was in private and public high schools in Washington, D.C. and Albany, where he was instrumental in developing small learning communities and professional collaborative cultures for teachers and principals. His interests and experience in education also include collaboration with business and community resources in schools, integrated STEM curriculum, global competency, and cross-disciplinary literacy strategies. Dan’s own education includes a B.A. in history from Wichita State University, an M.A. in philosophy from Georgetown University, an M.Ed. from the University of Maryland, and a Certificate of Advanced study in Educational Administration from the College of St. Rose. He spends his free time reading, cooking, and spending as much time as possible in the outdoors with his family and friends.
