Jonathan Ciesla has a diverse work experience, spanning over several years in various roles and organizations. Jonathan began their career as a Community Organizer at Slavic Village Development in 2005. In 2006, they transitioned to the role of Land Use Planner at Quinault Indian Nation, where they worked until 2012. During their time at Quinault Indian Nation, Jonathan gained extensive experience in land use planning.

In 2012, Jonathan joined AmeriCorps VISTA as a Development Coordinator, where they provided development-related nonprofit assistance. Jonathan'sresponsibilities included policy and procedure development, grant writing and management, and general office support. Jonathan utilized various platforms such as Prezi, Powerpoint, Donor Perfect Online, WordPress, Facebook, and Processwire to effectively deliver information to different audiences.

Following their tenure at AmeriCorps VISTA, Jonathan joined Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority in 2014 as a Planner 3. In this role, they demonstrated their expertise in planning and contributed to the organization's overall planning initiatives. Jonathan held this position until 2018.

In 2018, Jonathan transitioned to Greater Cleveland RTA, where they held multiple roles. Jonathan started as a Budget Management Analyst and then progressed to the role of Project Resource Manager. As a Project Resource Manager, they provided administrative support to Information Technology Applications projects and supported existing technical staff with improved processes and logistics. Jonathan also played a crucial role in ensuring successful project launches, milestone achievements, and completion. Additionally, they oversaw the performance management program called Traction and implemented executive directives.

Jonathan Ciesla has an extensive education history. Jonathan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned their high school diploma from Trinity High School between 1996 and 2000. In 2015 and 2016, Jonathan attended Cuyahoga Community College, where they received a Greenbelt certification in Lean Six Sigma. Currently, they are pursuing a Masters of Urban Studies degree in Urban Real Estate Development and Finance at Cleveland State University, starting in 2021 and expected to complete in 2024.

Jonathan also holds additional certifications. Jonathan obtained an Ohio Certified Public Manager (OCPM) certification from Cleveland State University in July 2023. Furthermore, they received a Certificate of Training and Development from Kent State University in May 2023.
