Deniz Ozkaynak

Deniz Ozkaynak has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They started their career as a Boston Video Game Design Examiner, writing articles and reviewing video games. They then worked as an MMO Game Columnist for MMOsite.com. Later, they joined Star Analytics as a Lead Game Designer.

After that, Deniz worked at NaviNet as an Engineering Co-op, where they automated software setup processes, improved browser compatibility testing capabilities, and identified unexecuted jobs. They then worked at Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer Associate, where they wrote AI behaviors for augmented reality training simulations and added functionality to existing systems.

Deniz then co-founded Variance Creative Studios, where they served as a Programmer and Community Manager. They also worked at Happy Code Club as a Curriculum Writer, Instructor, and later as the Co-Director. At Happy Code Club, they managed development, performed schedule audits, and obtained a Youth Camp Director license.

Following that, Deniz worked at Trepp, Inc. as a Full Stack Developer and later as a Software Engineer II. They worked on frontend and backend development, built new products, wrote webservices, and contributed to database development. They also contributed to the development of an authorization and entitlements service.

Currently, Deniz is employed at Green Thumb Industries (GTI) as a Senior Full Stack Developer and Product Owner. They are responsible for the migration of infrastructure, defining engineering best practices, collaborating with offshore teams, and planning and launching major tech stack migrations.

Throughout their career, Deniz has demonstrated expertise in various programming languages and technologies, including Python, Java, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, MongoDB, AngularJS, C#, and Unity3D. They have a strong background in software development, game design, and curriculum development.

Deniz Ozkaynak obtained a BS degree in Computer Science and Game Design from Northeastern University, which they attended from 2010 to 2015. Prior to their university education, they received their High School Diploma from John Jay High School between 2006 and 2010. In terms of additional certifications, Deniz obtained a certification in SQL from TestDome in December 2018.
