Emily Solomon

Emily Solomon is currently an Executive Assistant at Green Top Farms. Prior to this, they worked as a Youth Educator at Allergic to Salad from January to March of 2022. There, they led after school cooking classes with students ranging from kindergarten to middle school. Emily also incorporated STEM-based nutrition curricula and hands-on learning to introduce plant-based lifestyles, food system issues, and sustainable eating habits.

Before that, Emily worked as a Social Media Coordinator at The Good Goods from November 2021 to February 2022. There, they developed monthly content calendars for all social media channels and implemented strategy based on weekly insights. Emily also built community and following through outreach to various audiences and stake holders. Additionally, they prepared and presented analytic reports to team based on marketing trends within circular food system production services.

Other previous positions held by Emily include Greenmarket Manager at GrowNYC from May to August 2021 and Graduate Student Assistant at The American University of Rome from September 2020 to December 2021. Additionally, they interned as a Production Assistant at CAUSE+EFFECT in May 2019.

Emily Solomon holds a Master of Arts in Food Policy and Sustainability from The American University of Rome, a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Italian from Penn State University, and a High School Diploma in Theatre/Theater from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.
