Brian Marchant

Brian Marchant, CPA, CMA has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Brian started their career as a Graduate at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2008. Brian then worked as a Customer Service Representative & Business Analyst at Bennington Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation and as a Crew Manager at Vast Exteriors.

In 2013, Brian joined Solution Q as a Business Development Consultant, providing consulting services in project management. Brian also worked as an Intermediate General Accountant at Mac's Convenience Stores Inc., performing extensive quantitative analysis and preparing accounting entries.

Brian later became a Business Consultant at Independent Business Consulting, where they worked on financial analysis projects and developed pro forma financial statements. Brian then joined Ample Organics as an Accountant, responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Starting in 2015, Brian worked as a Property Accountant at MetCap Living, preparing financial reporting packages and implementing more efficient analytical methods. Brian also worked at Cority as a Senior Accountant, managing the financial operations of subsidiaries and preparing reports for management.

Most recently, Brian served as the Director of Revenue Accounting Operations at Greenhouse Software, where they overhauled the Order to Cash process, created a new sub-department, and implemented improvements in Sales Order creation.

Throughout their career, Brian has demonstrated a strong skill set in financial analysis, reporting, and process improvement, making him a valuable asset in various industries and roles.

Brian Marchant, CPA, CMA has a diverse education history. Brian began their studies at Newmarket High School, where they completed their secondary education from 2004 to 2008. After finishing high school, Brian attended Wilfrid Laurier University from 2008 to 2012. Brian obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) during this time, with a specialization in Business Administration.

Continuing their education in the field of accounting, Brian pursued their Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation from 2013 to 2015. Brian attended the Certified Management Accountant program and received their CMA certification from the institution Certified Management Accountants of Ontario in October of 2015.

Brian's educational journey showcases their commitment to and passion for the fields of business administration and management accounting, as demonstrated by their attainment of both a BBA degree and a professional CMA certification.
