Software Engineer - Enterprise Applications at Greenhouse

Chris O. has a strong background in IT and technology support. Chris started their career in 2014 as an Instructional Design Assistant at LaGuardia Community College. From there, they worked as a Tech Support and Motion Graphic Designer at Hunter College and as an IT Network Administrator and Technician for Alexander Robertson School at WebServes. In 2017, they joined the Research Foundation of The City University of New York as Network and Tech Support for the Department of Education, and later worked as a Mac/Multimedia IT Technician at Marymount Manhattan College. In 2018, they became the Lab Manager at Pratt Institute. Most recently, they worked as an IT Support Engineer at Cedar before joining Greenhouse Software as a System Engineer in November 2021.

Chris O. has a diverse education history. From 2015 to 2017, they attended Hunter College and earned a Bachelor's degree in Media Studies. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2015, they studied Liberal Arts with a focus on Media Studies at LaGuardia Community College. In 2012 to 2013, Chris pursued an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, specializing in Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance Technology/Technician.

In addition to their formal academic degrees, Chris O. has obtained several certifications. In September 2014, they received the Airframe and Powerplant Technician Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration. Then, in April 2021, they became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services. Chris expanded their skill set further by completing various specializations, including Modern Application Development with Python on AWS Specialization, DevOps, Cloud, and Agile Foundations Specialization, and Google IT Automation with Python Specialization on Coursera. Most recently, in August 2022, Chris achieved the Jamf Certified Admin and Jamf Certified Tech certifications from Jamf. Chris also obtained the FAA Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems certification in June 2021 and the Jamf Certified Associate certification in April 2021.
