Spencer Wells

Spencer Wells has worked in a variety of roles in the renewable energy and sustainability industries since 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they were the Executive Basketball Director at Bald Eagle Sports Camps, where they helped organize and plan basketball drills and games to teach children and teens. In 2013, they held multiple roles, including Solar Design/Marketing Intern at Allterra Environmental, Marketing Coordinator at UC Santa Cruz, and Technical Support Engineer at Tigo Energy. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Project Developer and Associate Project Developer at Vista Solar, Inc. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Director of Project Development, CS&T at GreenStruxure, where they deliver modular, standardized Energy as a Service solutions to commercial, industrial and governmental medium-sized buildings in the U.S.

Spencer Wells obtained their High School Diploma from Los Altos High School between 2006 and 2010. Spencer then attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they earned a degree in Environmental Studies and Economics between 2010 and 2014, studying Statistics, Renewable Energies, Marketing, Physics, and Mathematics. Additionally, Spencer has obtained several certifications, including NABCEP PV Technical Sales from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in 2015, Cal OSHA 10 Construction from ClickSafety in 2014, Solar PV Design and Installation (SP 124) from the Solar Living Institute in 2014, SunPower Advantage Commercial Selling from SunPower Corporation in 2014, Inbound Certification from HubSpot in 2017, and Inbound Sales Certification from HubSpot in 2017.
