Theodore Motyka

Dr. Motyka is responsible for providing technical direction, project management and proposal development for various hydrogen energy projects for GWE. Previously, Dr. Motyka was the Hydrogen Program Manager for the Savannah River National Laboratory. During those past 20 years, he and his team have been actively involved in the development and demonstration of hydrogen as an alternative energy carrier. Dr. Motyka has led several state initiatives for hydrogen energy including an organization that led to South Carolina being the top hydrogen energy states in the southeast. Dr. Motyka also served as the assistant director and metal hydride technical lead for the $40 million, DOE Hydrogen Storage Engineering Center of Excellence. More recently, he has worked on and led several successful winning GWE proposals in energy storage and alternative energy applications.
