Jose Zerpa

Jose Zerpa has diverse work experience in the field of forestry and research. Jose started their career as an Operational Forester at Smurfit Kappa Group in 1996 and worked there until 1998. In 2009, they joined Virginia Tech as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. From 2012 onwards, they joined GreenWood Resources, Inc, where they initially worked as a Silvicultural Researcher from 2012 to 2014. Later, they took on the role of Director of Operations at the same company. In 2018, they joined Forestal Monterrey Colombia SAS and GreenWood Resources Colombia as the General Manager.

Jose Zerpa has a Bachelor's degree in Forestry from Universidad de los Andes (VE), which they obtained from 1989 to 1996. Jose then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Forestry from North Carolina State University, completing it from 2003 to 2005. Subsequently, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Forestry from North Carolina State University between 2006 and 2010.
