Carmen R. Jones, MM, DES

Carmen R. Jones, MM, DES has over 20 years of experience in marketing and event management. Carmen R. currently holds the position of Vice President, Experiential Marketing at Greenwood, where they also serve as the Chief Executive Officer of A3C. Prior to this, Carmen worked at Essence Communications Inc. as the Senior Director of Experiential, overseeing the growth and execution of live and virtual events. Carmen R. played a key role in the success of events such as Essence Festival and Black Women in Hollywood.

Before joining Essence, Carmen worked at Strategic Group as the Director of Client Services, where they managed client relationships. Carmen R. also has experience at Panasonic North America, where they served as the Marketing Lead for AV and Eco Solutions. In this role, Carmen developed and executed strategic marketing plans and managed sponsorships, events, and partnerships with sports and entertainment properties.

Carmen has also worked as a Marketing Consultant at their own firm, Carmen Jones Consulting, where they provided marketing expertise to various clients. Additionally, they have held positions at CBS Corporation, RedPeg Marketing, MKTG (formerly US Concepts LLC), and the University of Maryland.

Throughout their career, Carmen has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, project management, sponsor integration, budget management, and partnership development. Carmen R.'swork has been recognized by prominent media and industry outlets. Carmen holds a Master of Marketing and a Designation in Experiential Strategy.

Carmen R. Jones has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from the University of Maryland. Carmen R. also holds a Masters degree in International Marketing & Management (MM) from the same institution. In addition to their academic qualifications, Carmen has obtained a Digital Event Strategist (DES) certification from PCMA in October 2020.
