Andrey Gura

System Architect/senior Software Engineer at GridGain

Andrey Gura has a diverse work experience in the software development industry. Andrey started their career as a Software Developer at StarSoft Development Labs in 2004, where they gained experience in Java development and application architecture development. Andrey then joined Yandex in 2007 as a Software Developer and later transitioned into the role of Project Manager from 2008 to 2011. At Yandex, they were involved in Java server-side development and developed public APIs for Yandex services. In 2012, Andrey joined Okko as a Principal Software Engineer, contributing to the development of a video-on-demand service for SmartTV and Web. In 2015, they joined GridGain Systems as a Senior Software Engineer, working on the GridGain In-Memory Data Fabric, which provided high-performance transactions, real-time streaming, and fast analytics. Since 2016, Andrey has been actively involved with The Apache Software Foundation as a PMC Member and Committer for the Apache Ignite project. Apache Ignite is an in-memory data fabric platform designed for high-performance computing, data grids, service grids, and streaming use cases.

Andrey Gura obtained an Engineer's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Kurgan State University from 1998 to 2003. In addition, they obtained additional certifications such as "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" from Coursera in June 2013 and "Computing for Data Analysis" from Coursera in January 2013.
