James O'Brien is a seasoned power systems engineer with extensive experience across various esteemed organizations. Currently serving as the Systems Planning Manager at GridLiance since December 2022, O'Brien has previously held significant roles, including Principal Consultant at PSC - Power Systems Consultants, where expertise in generator interconnections and microgrid feasibility studies was demonstrated. At Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, O'Brien specialized in bulk transmission and generation projects as a Power System Engineer, managing a multi-million-dollar transmission testbed.
