Kevin Kwoka

Kevin Kwoka has gained diverse work experience in various roles and industries throughout their career.

Starting in 2009, they worked at San Diego Community College District as a Tutor, specializing in accounting, business, economics, and math.

In 2010, they joined the YMCA of San Diego County as a Unit Leader for a summer program.

Kevin then worked at San Diego State University - Education Opportunity Program, where they served as a Tutor, assisting students in finance, accounting, and economics. Additionally, they worked as a Peer Leadership Consultant, conducting leadership workshops and providing guidance to student organizations. Kevin also served as a Student Recruiter, promoting the university and recruiting prospective students.

Kevin then joined Sigma Phi Epsilon as a Regional Director, responsible for various business units across the Southeast. Kevin focused on culture change management and delivered numerous leadership workshops.

In 2012, they transitioned to the corporate sector, joining Orion Lighting. Kevin held multiple roles at Orion, including Regional Sales Manager for the Midwest, National Solar Sales, Organizational Development Specialist, Interim Recruiter, and Manager of Organizational Development & Recruiting. Their responsibilities included sales, talent acquisition, talent management, strategic planning, and creating cohesion between different divisions and departments.

From 2018 to 2019, Kevin worked as a Consultant at Ralph Andersen & Associates, providing recruitment consulting services to cities, counties, and municipal organizations. Kevin conducted resume reviews, video interviews, and sourced candidates through networking.

Most recently, Kevin joined GRIN in 2019 as their Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development Specialist. Kevin assisted in building and maintaining a high-performance culture, developed the company's Mission, Vision, and Core Values, and handled all people-related HR issues. Kevin then transitioned to the role of People Operations Manager before becoming the Director of Talent Acquisition in September 2021, responsible for hiring and managing a team to support GRIN's growth.

Kevin Kwoka attended San Diego State University from 2006 to 2011, where they obtained Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Finance and Economics. In 2016, they earned a Professional Recruiter Certification from AIRS, an ADP Company.
