Betsy McCann

Betsy McCann has more than 20 years of work experience in various roles within the field of human resources. Betsy has held positions such as VP of People at GRIN, Human Resources Consultant at a Stealth Mode Startup, and Senior Vice President of People & Culture at the Utah Jazz. Betsy has also served as the Vice President of People Operations and Director of People Operations at Embroker, as well as the Culture and Talent Manager at Green Thumb Industries (GTI). Prior to that, they were the Head of People Operations at Valkyrie Trading and a Senior Program Coordinator at Spark Program. Betsy has also worked as an FMLA Claims & Quality Assurance Specialist at ComPsych. Additionally, they have experience as a Professional/Technical Communication Instructor at various colleges and universities.

Betsy McCann has a Ph.D. in Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications from Texas A&M University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned an M.A. in Communication Studies from Ball State University from 2000 to 2002. Betsy also holds a B.S.C. in Political Communication from Ohio University, which they completed from 1996 to 2000. In addition to their degrees, they have obtained certifications in Generative AI in HR from LinkedIn in 2023, Elephant Rider - Certificate of Practice from The Emotional Culture Deck in 2019, and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2016.
