Christy Cardenas

Christy Cardenas is the managing partner at Grit Ventures. Christy has over 10 years of experience in venture capital, and has been with Grit Ventures for 4 years. Christy has a deep understanding of the traits that make for successful founding teams, and leverages their operational expertise to help portfolio companies scale value creation and meet market demands. Christy is also a founding member of Ecliptic Capital, LLC, where they served as managing partner from January 2019 to December 2020. At Ecliptic Capital, Christy helped drive strategic innovation in venture capital by implementing new approaches to investing. Christy is a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship, and believes that technologically sophisticated methods are crucial to fully tap into the information firehose created by globally interconnected startup ecosystems. Christy is dedicated to democratizing the venture capital industry and empowering entrepreneurship by increasing transparency between founders and the investor community.

Christy Cardenas has a Master of Accounting from the Texas McCombs School of Business and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the same school. Christy is also certified by DataCamp in Intermediate R, Introduction to Tidyverse, Introduction to Python, and Introduction to R. Christy is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado.
