Whitney Fincannon

Whitney Fincannon has a diverse work experience in the field of graphic design and art direction. Whitney started their career in 2008 as an intern at Hatch Show Print, where they worked as a designer and printing intern. Whitney then joined the Pitt County Arts Council at Emerge Gallery as an intern. In 2009, Whitney worked as a freelance designer at Thinkit Studio and also as a sales associate and later as a manager/buyer at Catalog Connection. Whitney joined Swoozies of Greenville in 2011 as a Graphic Designer/Printer, where they were responsible for creating original designs and communicating with printers. From 2012 to 2016, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Community Journals LLC. Whitney then transitioned to Community Journals, where they held the positions of Art Director for both the Greenville Journal and the Upstate Business Journal. Since 2016, Whitney has been working at G&S Business Communications, starting as a Graphic Designer, then moving up to Senior Graphic Designer, Associate Art Director, and currently serving as the Art Director.

Whitney Fincannon attended East Carolina University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree with a focus on Graphic Design. Before that, in 2004 through 2005, they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying English Language and Literature/Letters. However, they did not receive a degree from UNC Chapel Hill.
