Michael Piantedosi has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Michael started their career at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as a Student Researcher, where they conducted research for the Wearable Computing Group and developed a 3D audio spatialization software package. Michael then moved on to the University of Massachusetts Lowell as a Research and Teaching Assistant, focusing on machine learning research and programming.

In 2008, Michael joined Alden Acquisitions, LLC. as a Web Programmer, where they served as the lead developer for the company's web presence. Michael also set up web servers and workstations.

After that, Michael worked at Raybeam, Inc. as an Associate Consultant (Software Engineer). Michael was involved in predictive modeling research and evaluation, utilizing tools such as Spark MLlib, Scala, and Apache Mahout. Michael also co-developed an AWS EMR Hadoop based ETL process.

In 2019, Michael joined VistaPath Biosystems as a Senior Software Engineer. Michael designed and implemented various software components, including a Python ROS2 node management framework, drivers for USB image cameras and barcode cameras, and a custom, Ubuntu-based OS for medical devices.

Currently, Michael is working at Guardian Agriculture as a Senior Software Engineer. The details of their role are not yet known as they recently joined the company in 2023.

Michael Piantedosi pursued their education in the field of Computer Science. From 2000 to 2002, they attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
