Tan Irene

Tan Irene has extensive work experience in the field of compliance. Tan most recently served as the Executive Director Head of Compliance at Guotai Junan International, starting in October 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Director, Head of Compliance at the same company from January 2020 to October 2021.

Before joining Guotai Junan International, Tan Irene worked at MUFG from March 2016 to January 2020 as the Head of Regulatory Compliance. Tan was responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance within the organization.

Their earlier work experience includes a role as the Head of Regulatory Compliance at OCBC Securities Private Limited from May 2005 to December 2016. In this position, they managed a team and oversaw regulatory compliance on various aspects, including advisory, market surveillance, AML, and compliance testing. Tan also played a key role in setting up the regulatory compliance and AML framework in a brokerage firm in Indonesia.

Tan Irene began their career at BNP Paribas, where they worked as an Assistant Vice President in Regulatory Compliance from April 2000 to March 2005.

Throughout their career, Tan Irene has demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, risk management, and maintaining relationships with regulators and auditors. Tan has also been involved in the development and implementation of compliance frameworks and policies.

Tan Irene obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of London, attending from 1992 to 1995. Additionally, they also pursued a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies, at the same institution.
