Chief Strategy Officer at Gusto

Andy Toung is the Chief Strategy Officer at Gusto. Prior to joining Gusto, they were a founding team member, General Manager, and Board Member at Taiji Zen, a lifestyle company founded by Jet Li and Jack Ma with the mission of spreading “Health and Happiness for All.” Through a unique suite of tai chi and meditation based training programs and products, Taiji Zen seeks to inspire and enable a modern, balanced lifestyle.

Before their work with Taiji Zen, Andy served as Chief of Staff for Jet Li, living in their home for a year and managing personal, philanthropic, global NGO, and commercial projects.

Prior to their time with Jet Li, Toung worked with Silver Lake in Hong Kong as the first Associate on the ground in their Asia practice. Andy helped launch the practice and establish Silver Lake’s presence in Asia.

Toung began their career as an Investment Banking Analyst with Goldman Sachs in July 2005. Andy was promoted to Summer Analyst during their first year with the firm and then to Operations Intern with Boeing Integrated Defense Systems the following summer.

Andy Toung received a Master's Degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from the same school.

Andy Toung reports to Josh Reeves, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Bernard C. Coleman III - Chief Diversity & Engagement Officer, Tomer London - Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer, and Danielle Brown - Chief People Officer.
