Huawei Qiu

Huawei Qiu is a Senior Vice President and Head of Biologics Discovery at GV20 Therapeutics, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Huawei Qiu served as Vice President of Biologics Discovery and Engineering at Palleon Pharmaceuticals from January 2022 to July 2023, and as Vice President of Biologics at Xilio Therapeutics, Inc. from April 2019 to December 2021. Huawei Qiu also held the title of Senior Director, Head of Protein Engineering at Sanofi from April 2013 to March 2019, where responsibilities included leading a protein engineering team and collaborating with research project teams. Earlier experience includes serving as Associate Director of Therapeutic Protein Preclinical Development at Genzyme from May 1999 to March 2013, and conducting postdoctoral research at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Brown University. Huawei Qiu obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University and a BS in Chemistry from Peking University.
