Kate Jones began their work experience in 2011 at Gloria Jean's Coffees, where they served as a Barista, Shift Leader, Trainer, and Public Relations Representative until 2016. In 2015, they joined Tradies as an Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, and Frontline Staff Member, remaining with the company until 2020. Currently, Kate is working at GWA Group Limited as a Human Resources Officer, starting in 2021. In this role, they collaborate with the People and Performance team in Australia and New Zealand, focusing on learning and development, metrics/analytics, internal communications, and engagement actions. Kate is responsible for coordinating various employment processes and documents, such as new hire offers, onboarding, probation, performance management, and more.

Kate Jones attended the University of Wollongong from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree with a major in Human Resource Management & Management and a minor in International Business. Kate also pursued a Bachelor of International Studies (BIntSt) during the same period, specializing in Global Sustainable Development, with minors in French, Political Science, and Ethics. In 2018, Kate spent a summer at The University of British Columbia as part of their Vancouver Summer Program, studying Management & Organizational Behaviour. Additionally, in November 2019, they completed Mental Health First Aid Training from Mental Health First Aid Australia.
