Managing Director - Product at H2GO Power

Peter Italiano has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple industries. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Graduate Design Engineer/KTP Associate at Cardiff University, where they established internal design expertise at Reid Lifting. Then, from 2012 to 2015, they served as a New Product Development Design Engineer at Reid Lifting, leading the development of lightweight aluminium lifting structures.

Following that, from 2015 to 2018, Peter worked at Solarcentury, starting as a Senior Design Engineer and later becoming the Head of Product Development. Their responsibilities included overseeing the technical aspects of product development, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring cost and quality targets were met. Additionally, they led the Innovation team and contributed to Solarcentury's fight against climate change by delivering the BIPV product Sunstation.

In 2018, Peter joined Solarcentury as an Implementation Project Manager, where they worked with IKEA Global and IKEA Germany to deliver a residential solar offer into Germany. Peter was responsible for establishing company and operational setups in Germany, as well as negotiating contracts and managing stakeholder expectations.

Currently, Peter holds the position of Product Development Director at H2GO Power, a company focused on solid-state hydrogen storage vessels and systems. In this role, their responsibilities include leading the product development and integration of products into utility-scale storage and transport applications. Peter also contributes to the creation of innovative metal additive manufactured hydrogen reactors.

Peter Italiano began their education at Bassaleg Comprehensive from 1997 to 2002. Peter then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, which they completed between 2004 and 2009. In 2010 and 2011, Peter obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Peter further pursued certifications as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Engineering Council and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in June and May 2014, respectively.
