Project Coordinator - Archaeology

Our rapidly growing team is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator to join our Archaeology division. We are looking for a teammate that is experienced in the oil and gas industry and keen to help us with our well-positioned Archaeology team in NE BC. The opportunity provides a ton of growth, leadership, and professional development within H3M. Currently, we have a very strong client base in NE BC as a result of our team’s dedication to and approach to client service. The successful candidate will be the primary contact for the management of all Archaeology projects in the area. This includes but is not limited to some archaeological application requirements and front-end archaeological assessments in pursuit of projects from conception through to construction.

Role and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:

Project Management (30%)

· Assigning tasks and projects to team members

· Scheduling of all archaeology projects, including crews and equipment assignment

· Coordinating project execution and logistics

· Supporting Project Managers and Division Manager

· New projects & tasks planning and preparation

Project Administration (30%)

· Monitoring project deliverables and providing project updates.

· Maintain and update division templates to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Take notes during all client/division/project meetings

· Provide invoicing support

Client Communications (30%)

· Point of contact for client requests for new projects.

· Maintain positive client relationships, focusing on providing top quality service and regulatory expertise.

· Assist with new client process set up and deliverables.

· Liaise and provide recommendations to clients on a project specific basis.

Safety & Quality Management Control (5%)

· Participate in H3M’s Health and Safety Program.

· Ensure conformance to regulatory requirements and project scope  

· Understand performance and quality expectations of each project and work with the PM to meet and/or exceed them  

· Daily safety check in for field crews.

Shop/Office Support (5%)

· Supervising soil screening shop and responsible for soil screening timesheets timely submission.

· Liaising with IT on equipment needs

· Other shop/office support as needed

Qualifications and skills: 

· PMP or similar designation would be considered an asset.

· Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in archaeology, anthropology, or a related field would be considered an asset.

· 2 years of progressive experience in project management support execution in the Oil & Gas, forestry and utility sectors.

· Proficient in using Microsoft Project would be an asset.

· Knowledge of archaeological regulatory requirements in Alberta and BC would be an asset.
