Joao Madureira Pinto

Joao Madureira Pinto has extensive work experience in various roles within the insurance industry. Joao is currently working as the Chief Growth Officer at Habit since November 2023. Prior to that, they held multiple positions at Tranquilidade, starting from Projects Internal Consultant in April 1995 and progressed to roles such as Claims Contact Center Director, Management Information Systems Director, and New Channels Director. From 2014 to 2016, they served as the Communication Director & Alternative Retail Distribution Networks Director, responsible for brand management, communication policies, organizing public relations, managing sponsorship and patronage, and developing events. Joao also held positions as the Director and Project Manager of Directo T and the Project Management Officer, where they were responsible for IT governance and managing the IT projects portfolio in collaboration with business areas. Throughout their career, Joao has demonstrated strong leadership and coordination skills.

Joao Madureira Pinto completed their undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in Computer Science and Systems, from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto between 1988 and 1993. Joao then pursued a post-graduate degree in Organization and Management of Businesses from Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Centro Regional do Porto from 1993 to 1995. In 1997 and 1998, they furthered their education in specialized studies in Management for the Insurance Sector from Associação Portuguesa de Seguradores.
