Min Lee

Min Lee has extensive work experience in the legal field. Min currently holds the position of EVP and General Counsel at Hachette Book Group, a role they have held since March 2020. Prior to this, they served as the SVP and General Counsel at the same company.

Before joining Hachette, Min Lee worked at Penguin Random House for six years. During their time there, they held the positions of SVP, Associate General Counsel, Global Head of Compliance from September 2018 to February 2020, and VP, Associate General Counsel, Data Protection and Privacy Officer from September 2014 to September 2018. In these roles, they oversaw data protection and privacy programs, counseled clients on legal matters, and drafted and negotiated various agreements.

Min Lee also has experience working at Debevoise & Plimpton as Counsel from September 2013 to September 2014, Random House, Inc. as Vice President, Associate General Counsel from March 2006 to August 2013, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP as an Associate from February 2005 to March 2006, and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP as an Associate from October 2001 to January 2005.

Throughout their career, Min Lee has advised on intellectual property and media issues, managed trademark portfolios, and litigated various legal cases related to trademarks, copyrights, and false advertising. After completing high school, they attended Dartmouth College from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Following their undergraduate studies, Min Lee pursued a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, completing their studies from 1998 to 2001.
