Ari Renoni

Deputy Director of Recovery at Hagerty Consulting

Mr. Ari Renoni, Deputy Director of Recovery, is an emergency management professional with 15 years of experience working to strengthen public sector organizations, including nine years of United States (U.S.)-based disaster recovery work. He has a deep familiarity with federal disaster recovery programs and is a subject matter expert in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) policy. Ari supports public sector clients across the U.S. in various roles including leading many policy and strategy efforts and serving as a project executive – managing contracts, budgets, and staffing. In addition to client work, Ari advises dozens of internal staff members on recovery policy issues and works with firm leaders to manage Recovery Division goals, growth, operations, and staff.

Throughout his time at Hagerty, Ari was integral to large-scale disaster cost recovery engagements including Hurricanes Sandy and Maria and the COVID-19 pandemic. In these efforts, he focuses on building specialized teams and securing innovative agreements to maximize eligible funding opportunities for the clients. Overall, Ari has supported clients in obtaining, managing, and retaining approximately $23 billion in federal recovery funding.

Ari holds two graduate degrees from the Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs at Syracuse University: Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Arts in International Relations. Prior to joining Hagerty, he worked in international development with the United Nations (UN) World Food Programme (WFP), UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and a U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded nonprofit, in addition to living and teaching math in southern Africa.
