Jennifer Schmaedeke

Jennifer Schmaedeke has over 25 years of experience in various roles related to data governance, risk management, reporting, and financial analysis. Their most recent role was as Senior Director of Enterprise Data Governance at Edelman Financial Engines, where they led the implementation of enterprise data management and governance strategy and engaged senior leadership to drive successful roadmaps. Prior to that, they worked at Ameriprise Financial Services and U.S. Bank in various leadership roles where they developed and implemented data governance solutions, managed large-scale impact data governance initiatives, and established a certification tool and process for creating an enterprise-wide inventory of authorized data sources. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Credit Risk Analyst at Fingerhut, where they built models to assess marketing campaigns and forecast revenue and losses.

Jennifer Schmaedeke received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Hamline University. Jennifer then attended Northwestern University where they studied Mathematics. Jennifer also obtained various certifications throughout their career, including a Data Cloud Deployment Framework certification from Snowflake in April 2023, an Executive Leadership certification from eCornell in May 2018, and SAS Programming certifications from SAS in December 2003. Jennifer also earned certifications in Hands On Essentials - Data Sharing and Data Warehouse from Snowflake, and in Data Management Capability Assessment Model from EDM Council.
