Cass Mao

Cass Mao has a diverse and extensive work experience. In 2021, Cass joined Halo.Car as the Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to that, from May 2021 to October 2021, Cass was an Entrepreneur In Residence at Main Sequence Ventures. From 2018 to 2021, Cass worked at Tenacious Ventures as a Founding Venture Partner, overseeing a $35m early stage fund for food and agtech startups with climate impact. During the same period, Cass also served as a Principal at Agthentic Advisory, providing strategic guidance. From 2019 to 2021, Cass was an Accelerator Manager at Farmers2Founders. Earlier in Cass's career, they worked as an Analyst at Trimantium Capital from 2016 to 2017. Cass also held various roles at Vibewire, including Executive Director from 2014 to 2016, where they led the organization's strategy and initiatives for young people, and Project Manager & Communications Manager from 2013 to 2014. In 2015, Cass served as the Head of Growth at PayDock and in 2014 as a Community Manager at BlueChilli Group. Cass began their career as a Marketing Manager at Mathspace from 2012 to 2013.

Cass Mao completed their secondary education at North Sydney Girls High School from 2004 to 2009. Cass then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree, majoring in Marketing and International Business, at the University of Sydney from 2010 to 2013.
