Carolina Mazo-Molina, PhD, currently serves as an Innovation Scout at Halo since March 2022. Previously, Carolina held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at Universidad del Norte from January 2022 to May 2023, focusing on local and regional biodiversity in the Colombian Caribbean. Prior to that, Carolina was a Postdoctoral Associate at Boyce Thompson Institute, conducting research on immune signaling pathways in tomato plants. Carolina's earlier experiences include roles as an Extern Research Scientist at Marrone Bio Innovations, a Teaching Assistant at Cornell University, a Research Assistant at Boyce Thompson Institute, Merck, AGROSAVIA, and Universidad de los Andes. Carolina earned a PhD in Plant Pathology from Cornell University, a Master of Science in Biology from Universidad de Los Andes, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
