Samantha Hogard is a highly skilled environmental engineering professional with a comprehensive educational background and diverse internship experience. Holding a Bachelor's Degree and a Master of Science from the University of Florida and Virginia Tech, respectively, Samantha is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. Samantha's practical experience includes positions as a Water Technology and Research Intern at HRSD, and multiple engineering internships at CH2M and CDM Smith, along with a research assistant role at the UF Solid and Hazardous Waste Lab. This combination of education and hands-on experience underlines Samantha's expertise in the field of environmental engineering.

Welcome. Since HRSD's inception, there has been one overriding mission -- to protect public health and the waters of Hampton Roads by treating wastewater effectively. HRSD returns treated effluent to nature in a way that will continue to nurture our water's delicate ecosystems. HRSD's workforce of scientists, engineers, water quality professionals and other staff know they must be sensitive to the needs of people and also be sensitive to the plants and animals who rely on our ability to protect their habitats.
