Karen Alton

Karen Alton, PHR, SHRM-CP has a diverse range of work experience in human resources and office management. Karen started their career at Essex National Securities, LLC in 2001, where they held various roles including Compliance Coordinator, Office Manager, and eventually became the Human Resources Manager. In this role, they managed HR functions for a 4-6 state region with an average of 50 employees, overseeing compensation, benefits, performance management, and legal compliance. Karen also utilized different versions of HRIS systems with ADP. In 2016, Karen joined Hanford ARC as the Director of Human Resources, where they managed HR policies and procedures for a company with 75-100 employees, handling benefits, retirement plans, recruitment, compliance, and employee communications.

Karen Alton, PHR, SHRM-CP, obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of Phoenix in the years 2000 to 2003. Karen also studied Graphic Design at Santa Rosa Junior College. In 2015, they obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM and the SHRM_CP certification from Credly. In 2016, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.
