Derek Cheng

Derek Cheng, CPA, is an experienced finance and accounting professional currently serving as Assistant Finance and Accounting Manager for Strategic Planning & Analysis at Hang Seng Bank since September 2022. Previously, Cheng held the position of Assistant Finance Manager at Pico Group, where responsibilities included discussing financial results with management, preparing financial models, and implementing post-acquisition integration plans. Prior to that, a significant tenure at Deloitte encompassed roles as Senior and Associate in Audit & Assurance, focusing on various sectors, including consumer business and real estate, as well as providing compliance advice on IFRS. Earlier experiences include positions at EF Education First, BDO Limited, Somerley, and CDC Software, covering a range of accounting and finance functions. Cheng holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from McMaster University.
