Jonathan Herczeg

General Counsel at Happy Money

Jonathan Herczeg is currently the General Counsel at Happy Money. Prior to this, they were a Senior Counsel for Regulatory Affairs at Uber from June 2017 to July 2021. In this role, they led the development of national regulatory policy for Uber Eats in the United States, and served as the global product counsel lead for grocery delivery. Jonathan also served as the principal regulatory advisor to rideshare operations leadership in the Pacific Northwest and New England, managing a portfolio that included legislation, rideshare licensing, implementation of operational requirements, and advocacy before government officials.

Previously, Jonathan was a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Domestic Policy Council from April 2015 to March 2016. Jonathan began their career as a Summer Associate at Hogan & Hartson LLP from May 2006 to August 2006, and then went on to be an Assistant to Bob Shrum at Shrum Devine & Donilon from June 2003 to June 2005. Most recently, they served as the Deputy Chief of Staff at the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration from October 2012 to January 2017.

Jonathan Herczeg has a B.A. in English from Yale University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
