Dave Johnston

Dave Johnston is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leading technical projects across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Harness since February 2021, Dave previously held similar positions at Puppet, where responsibilities included delivering 'Puppet Remediate'. Contributions to Brocade involved overseeing the NetDev team's engineering services for advanced SDN and NFV solutions. At Openwave Mobility, Dave focused on VNF design and integration with major partners such as Cisco and HP. An earlier tenure at Openwave included diverse software engineering roles, with involvement in scalable system projects, while initial experience began at Sun Microsystems as a Software/Release Engineering Intern. Dave holds a BEng in Software Engineering from Ulster University, complemented by studies at Edinburgh Napier University.
