Xingchi Jin

Xingchi Jin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles.

Starting in 2015, Xingchi had a summer internship at Juniper Networks, where they worked on the L-ARP protocol and developed in Linux kernel 3.16.0.

In 2014, Xingchi began their graduate studies at Carnegie Mellon University. As a graduate student, they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Cloud Computing course, where they designed and implemented a high concurrency and throughput Restful web service.

In 2016, Xingchi joined Nutanix as a Member of Technical Staff, being responsible for technical ownership of a distributed key-value store system and storing millions of files metadata for the Nutanix File System. They also held the role of Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they led the Nutanix Objects Manageability team. This role encompassed a variety of responsibilities, including laying the foundation for K8s based cluster management, driving various projects, and managing the upgrade and deployment of Nutanix Objects.

In 2021, Xingchi joined Imply as a Software Engineer, where they worked until 2022.

Currently, Xingchi is working as a Staff Software Engineer at Harness, starting in 2022.

Xingchi Jin completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China from 2010 to 2014. After that, Jin pursued a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which was completed from 2014 to 2015. In 2020, Jin attended Kellogg Executive Education for a short-term course in Product Strategy.
