James Harte has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of architecture and woodworking. James began their career as an Apprentice Cabinetmaker & Carpenter at Harte Cabinet Shop in 1999. James later worked as an Intern Architect at Bundy Architecture & Engineering and Train & Partners Architects. In 2010, they transitioned to Blue River Woodworking as a Carpenter & Cabinet Maker. James then joined FPW Architects as an Intern Architect for three years. Subsequently, they worked at Live Arts as an Interim Technical Director. In 2013, they became a Project Manager at Cavanaugh Cabinets, Inc. This was followed by their role as a Project Architect/Architectural Project Manager at Mather Architects from 2014 to 2021. Currently, they are working at HFA (Harrison French and Associates) as a Project Architect/Client Lead, where they oversee a design team, prepares proposals, and coordinates client contract negotiations. James also generates construction document drawing packages, maintains documentation, and acts as a specification writer.

James Harte obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) degree in Architecture and Industrial Design from Virginia Tech between 2002 and 2007. James also received a Minor in Industrial and Product Design during the same period.
