Darren Thompson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the marketing and loyalty sector. Darren started their career at HBC Credit, where they worked in various roles including Financial Reporting Manager and National Credit Card Manager. Darren then moved to Hudson's Bay Company, where they served as a Senior CRM Consultant and later as the Director of Customer Insights & Analytics. In 2005, Darren joined RBC Royal Bank as the Director of Relationship Marketing, overseeing loyalty and database marketing initiatives. Darren then worked at AIR MILES Reward Program as an Associate Director of Loyalty Strategy before joining President's Choice Financial as the Director of Loyalty. At PC Financial, they also held positions as the Director of Credit Card Account Management and Director of CRM. In 2017, Darren joined Harry Rosen as the Director of Loyalty and CRM, responsible for loyalty strategy, client lifecycle management, promotional strategy, and client insights. Currently, they are the Principal at DT Business Consulting Inc. Darren's experience spans over two decades and includes managing teams and budgets, developing and implementing loyalty programs, and driving customer acquisition and retention strategies.

Darren Thompson earned a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science and Government from the University of Ottawa from 1988 to 1992. From 1992 to 1993, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management and Services at Sheridan College. In 1997 to 1999, Darren attended Ryerson University and completed 3 years of a 4-year Bcomm Program with a focus on Finance, General.
