Silja Markkula

Silja Markkula is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in advocacy and communications strategies, currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Harwood Levitt Consulting since September 2022. Previously, Markkula held various leadership positions at the European Youth Forum from May 2015 to December 2022, including President, where responsibilities included representing over 40 million young people in Europe and advocating for youth rights at prominent international forums. In addition, Markkula coordinated the Nordic Youth Council's activities from November 2020 to August 2022, and led the international advocacy efforts for the Finnish National Youth Council Allianssi between January 2014 and December 2018. Markkula's educational background includes a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki.
