Adam Preslar is the Chief Technology Officer at Hazel Technologies, a nanotechnology start-up that applies innovations in material science to agricultural and horticultural waste challenges. Adam has been with Hazel for 7 years and 7 months, and during that time has also served as the company's Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer.
Adam's journey with Hazel began as a graduate student, when they conducted research in biomaterials functionalized for imaging applications. It was during this time that they invented systems for MRI-based in vivo assessment of calcium concentration and pH, as well as tracking implants for regenerative medicine in living animals.
After 5 years and 5 months as a graduate student, Adam co-founded Hazel Technologies with the goal of applying their research to real-world problems. As COO, Adam manages scientific directions and collaborates with other executives to develop Hazel Tech's marketing and product strategies.
In their role as Chief Technology Officer, Adam develops and deploys new technologies for maintaining plant heath after harvest. Working with growers, academic researchers, and vertically-integrated companies, Adam demonstrates the value of Hazel's products for the supply chain. As an inventor, Adam builds the company's product pipeline and commercially-integrates R&D strategy.
Under Adam's leadership, Hazel Technologies has made great strides in reducing agricultural and horticultural waste. With Adam's vision for the future, Hazel is poised to make even greater impact in the years to come.
