Karthic Thope

Karthic Thope has over 25 years of work experience in technology and engineering roles. Currently, they serve as the Head of Cloud Engineering at Hazelcast, starting in July 2022. Prior to this, Karthic worked at Inovalon from 2018 to 2022, where they held the position of Senior Director, Technology, Healthcare Analytics, responsible for building a technology platform for healthcare analytics. Before joining Inovalon, Karthic worked at Software AG from 2007 to 2017, initially as the Director of R&D, Visual Analytics. Karthic played a key role in defining the architecture and integration roadmap after Software AG acquired JackBe. Karthic also managed R&D operations for the MashZone NextGen/Presto product development teams and established a new R&D center in India. From 2007 to 2013, Karthic worked at JackBe as an Enterprise Architect, managing strategic partners, OEM customers, and leading Presto integration projects. Prior to that, they worked at Oracle as a Product Development Manager, overseeing the development of middleware products and Content Management suite. Karthic also has experience working as a Systems Analyst at NASA IR & MS and in the Advanced Technology Lab at American University. Karthic started their career in product development at IntraACTIVE.

Karthic Thope completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Information Systems from American University, where they attended from 1994 to 1996.
