Sertuğ Kaya has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Sertuğ is currently working at Hazelcast as the Director of Global Support, where they oversee the global support operations. Prior to this, they held various positions at Hazelcast, including Solutions Architect, Global Technical Support Manager, and Customer Technical Support Manager. Before joining Hazelcast, Sertuğ worked at Arkony as a Software Engineer, where they focused on backend development and implemented a Microservice architecture using MongoDB, Golang, Redis, ElasticSearch. Sertuğ also practiced Agile principles, TDD, and pair programming. Prior to Arkony, Sertuğ worked at AGMLAB as a Software Developer and team lead, working on R&D projects involving search technologies on big data using Apache Hadoop, Apache Nutch, Apache Giraph, and Apache Gora. Before that, they worked as a Software Developer at a Media Company and as a Software Intern at Netron. Sertuğ's career began as a Hardware Intern at Mobit Bilisim A.S.

Sertuğ Kaya's education history begins with their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Computer Engineering from İstanbul Ticaret Üniversitesi, which they earned from 2005 to 2009. They then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Penn State University from 2010 to 2015. Following their time at Penn State, Sertuğ Kaya pursued a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering at Boğaziçi University from 2013 to 2015.
