Elaine Song has held various roles throughout their work experience. Elaine is currently working at The HBAR Foundation as the VP of Strategy since June 2022, and as the Director of Crypto Economy Fund since July 2021. Before that, they worked at Okcoin as the Crypto Partnerships Lead from April 2020 to June 2021, and in Business Operations from October 2018 to April 2020.

Prior to their time at Okcoin, Elaine worked at Gartner, where they held multiple roles including Consultant from March 2018 to September 2018, Senior Analyst from September 2016 to March 2018, and Research Analyst from July 2015 to September 2016.

Earlier in their career, they worked at The Potomac Advocates as a Research Analyst for a brief period in 2014. Elaine performed quantitative government budget analysis, wrote legislative language for defense multiyear procurement, and developed research and distribution strategy for sustainable water technology. Additionally, they worked on the development of long-term business strategy for retainer clients.

Elaine also gained experience as a Student Intern for the Center for the Study of Contemporary China at the University of Pennsylvania from August 2013 to May 2014.

Before that, they were a Marketing Strategy Intern at Aekyung Group for the summer of 2013, and a Client Acquisition Intern at Elance-oDesk for the summer of 2012.

Elaine began their career as a Campus and Program Coordinator at Global Language Project from March 2011 to June 2011.

Elaine Song completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on Political Science and East Asian Studies at the University of Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Technology Management at Georgetown University from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, in 2013, they briefly studied at Seoul National University, though it is unclear what degree or field of study they pursued there. Prior to their university education, they attended The Harker School from 2005 to 2010.
