Jorge Consuegra

Jorge Consuegra is the current Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at the HBS Club of NY. Previously, they were the owner of JEC Consulting, a consultancy focused on diversity and inclusion strategy, employer branding, and multiculturalism. Before that, Jorge was the Chief Diversity Officer and VP of Diversity at the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where they crafted and executed a Diversity Strategy approved by the Board of Trustees.

At EDF, Jorge developed and executed an Unconscious Bias training program completed by 80% of US staff in 2019. Jorge also worked closely with leaders of the Staff Diversity Committee to ensure diversity was lived every day at EDF, led the development of a Supplier Diversity Strategy, and launched three Employee Resource Groups (ERG's). In addition, Jorge was a member of All Staff Retreat Planning Committee that received high marks for diversity content at the 2019 organization-wide annual meeting, and they helped strengthen diversity recruiting by developing relationships with organizations such as the Theirpanic Association of Colleges and Universities, Management Leadership for Tomorrow and Theirpanic Association on Corporate Responsibility.

Jorge has a long history of fighting for diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Jorge is passionate about their work and committed to making a difference in the world.

Jorge Consuegra has an MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School and a BA in International Relations from Tufts University. Jorge also has a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
