Sonya Watkins

Sonya joined Northside Hospital as the Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety in 2021. She recently served as the System Director of Regulatory Affairs and Accreditation at Cook County Health in Chicago, Illinois. She has also been a Vice President of Quality at Norwegian American Hospital and a Senior Director of Performance Improvement at the Illinois Hospital Association. In her early career, she has served as a Risk Manager, Corporate Compliance Officer and started her regulatory and patient safety career at The Joint Commission.

Sonya has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, a MBA in Strategic Leadership and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the National Association in Healthcare Quality.
