Dean Palmer began their career in 2008 as a Customer Service Representative for Commonwealth Bank. In 2009, they moved to Grill'd as a Team Leader. In 2014, they joined JRNI as a Customer Support Executive, then moved to a Front End Engineer role. Dean was then promoted to Developer Team Lead and finally to Product Manager. In 2020, Dean joined HeadBox as a Product Manager, leading and collaborating on multiple greenfield projects aimed at disrupting the events industry to raise customer adoption and conversion rates, working with AI and machine learning technologies. During their time at HeadBox, they worked with high profile brands such as BCG, EDF, Skyscanner and EY.

Dean Palmer attended Southbank Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2010, where they earned an Associate's Degree in Interactive Digital Media. Dean then attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2011 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Games and Interactive Entertainment in Game and Interactive Media Design. In 2017, they attended General Assembly and earned a Javascript Development certification. Finally, in 2019, they attended University of Virginia and studied Digital Product Management.
