David Perlman has a diverse work experience in the biopharmaceutical and academic sectors. David is currently the VP and Head of Proteomics at Health Outlook Corp. Prior to this, they worked as a Biopharmaceutical Industry Consultant. David also held various roles at Merck, including Director-level Lead in Ultrasensitive and Single-Cell Proteomics. David has also worked at the University of Calgary as a Visiting Scholar and at Northeastern University as a Principal Investigator. David cofounded and served as VP & Chief of Target Discovery at Crescenta Biosciences. Additionally, David has research experience at Princeton University, where they worked as a Research Scientist & Proteomics Specialist and later as the Director of the Princeton Collaborative Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Center. David began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Boston University School of Medicine, focusing on cardiovascular biology, nitric oxide signaling, and cancer proteomics.
David Perlman earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics from Carleton College in 1994. David then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Boston University School of Medicine, Division of Graduate Medical Sciences, completing their studies in 2004.
