Mike Cave

Mike Cave, CFA has over 15 years of work experience in the financial industry. Mike began their career in 2006 as a Derivatives Trader at MET Traders. In 2007, they moved to Morgan Stanley as a Software Engineer. In 2008, they were a Product Manager & Software Engineer - Equity Derivatives at Bank of America. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at Barclays Capital as a Product Manager - Market Risk. In 2016, they moved to Barclays Investment Bank as a Product Manager - Trading & Risk. From 2014 to 2018, they were an Agile Delivery Lead - Front Office Business Intelligence at BNP Paribas. In 2018, they joined R3 as a Program Manager - Enterprise Blockchain. In 2022, they became the Director of Program Management and Strategy at the NEAR Foundation, and also the Director of Technical Programs at Hedera.

Mike Cave, CFA has a comprehensive education history. Mike attended Westville Boys High School from 1994 to 1998, where they achieved their High School Matric. From 1999 to 2002 they attended Rhodes University, where they were awarded a Summa Cum Laude Post Graduate Honours - B.Sc. in Computer Science and Information Systems. In 2007, they obtained their Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder from CFA Institute. In addition to their formal education, Mike also holds several certifications, including Corda Certified Developer from R3 (2019), Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org (2017), Prince2 Practitioner from PRINCE2.com (2014), Startup Engineering from Stanford University (2013) and Certified First Aider and Fire Marshall from St Johns Ambulance.
