Sergey Andreev

Sergey Andreev is a highly experienced software engineer with over 15 years of experience. Sergey began their career at DataArt in 2006 as a Software Engineer, before being promoted to Senior Software Engineer. In 2009, they joined Exigen Services as a Staff Software Engineer, where they led the efforts to design and implement an infrastructure for Deutsche Bank. In 2011, Sergey co-founded Jetlore, where they served as CTO and was responsible for designing and leading the development of all backend infrastructure for the AI platform. Sergey also built engineering teams from scratch multiple times across different geographic locations and scaled the engineering organization from one multi-functional team to multiple specialized teams. In 2018, Sergey joined PayPal as Director of Engineering, where they led a 50+ engineering organization in the Shopping business unit and was responsible for multiple initiatives both on consumer and merchant experiences. In 2021, Sergey became the CEO and Founder of Torify, and in 2022 they took on the role of Head of Engineering at HEIR.

Sergey Andreev's education history includes a Professional Doctorate in Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology between 2010 and 2012, in the field of Software design and architecture. Prior to this, they obtained a Master's degree from Saint Petersburg State University between 2003 and 2008, in Software engineering and Computer Science. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Stanford Online and Coursera, including XCS224N - Natural Language Processing with Deep Learning, Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Machine Learning, and Neural Networks and Deep Learning.
