Dani M. has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Dani started their career as a Volunteer and PTM Coordinator for the Alaska Division of The Salvation Army in 2013, where they developed and managed a Volunteer Program for the division's 17 communities. Dani then moved on to become the Director of Service Extension at The Salvation Army Intermountain Division in 2016. In this role, Dani independently developed and led a department to establish sustainable social service programs in rural areas across four states.
In 2021, Dani joined the American Red Cross as a Disaster Workforce Engagement Manager, where they were responsible for managing personnel involved in disaster response efforts. Dani then transitioned to Lanakila Pacific in 2022 and served as a Program Manager, overseeing the implementation of various programs.
Currently, Dani holds the position of Operations Manager at Helping Hands Hawaii, where they play a key role in managing the organization's operations. In 2023, they will be promoted to Director of Operations, further expanding their responsibilities within the company.
Dani M. earned an Associate of Arts degree in Art/Art Studies, General from Hopkinsville Community College in 2006. In 2009, Dani completed a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Austin Peay State University. Most recently, Dani attended Colorado State University from 2018 to 2021 and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree in the field of MBA.

Helping Hands Hawai‘i administers numerous programs that benefit the community, including the Bilingual Access Line, Emergency Assistance Program, SNAP Outreach, Community Clearinghouse, Ready to Learn, Adopt A Family and Representative Payee Services. These programs offers a full continuum of care for clients and represent distinct areas of need. They work in concert to help all of Hawai‘i realize its fullest potential in a rapidly evolving, increasingly global society. With a mission to provide critical social services to improve people's quality of life and empower them on their path to a better tomorrow. Helping Hands Hawai‘i provides a vital lifeline for the local community – helping its members to help one another. The agency began as the Honolulu Council of Social Agencies’ Volunteer Placement Bureau in 1941 and incorporated as Helping Hands Hawaii in 1974.
