Lisa Sowell

Lisa Sowell is an experienced project manager currently working at Herdt Consulting, Inc. since June 2023. Prior to this, Lisa retired from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) after a distinguished career that included serving as Director for the Navy Systems Support Group from April 2016 to May 2023, where responsibilities involved integrating business process improvements and IT design for successful execution of naval maintenance efforts. Lisa's previous roles at Norfolk Naval Shipyard included Project Superintendent and Project Engineering Planning Manager, focusing on project management, process re-engineering, and technical planning. Education credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Sound and Vibration Analysis from North Carolina State University.
